From his 1984 solo debut Bodyswerve and the runaway success of 1985's Freight Train Heart and 1990's Two Fires. Jimmy Barnes is Australia's most successful and enduring male singer. He was the lead singer in legendary rock band Cold Chisel and then started a solo career that has touched on the bases of southern soul, hard rock and country rock at different times.
