Enhance entertained an 8:00am Medical Conference launch for the worlds largest drug company Pfizer at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in January. Top Australian Event Planners Medical Meetings briefed Enhance Entertainment with a unique proposal for the conference entertainment. Each member of the company - or team - contributes their individual talents to a larger team; essentially, that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
And because the conference started at 8am on day one of the conference, both Medical Meetings and Pfizer required a BIG impact. Enhance Entertainment's role was vital in the successful outcome. Just part of their participation included producing a musical score specifically for the conference, sourcing some of Queensland's leading session musicians and liaise with the event planners throughout the process.
Conference Entertainment Success: Daryl Murphy and his band provided an 8:00am high-impact show for Pfizer at Gold Coast Convention Centre
The synopsis: As the conference delegates enter the pitch-black conference hall, a single spotlight lights a lone musician on stage. He starts a blistering guitar solo that creates an immediate wow-factor. The musician stops as abruptly as he starts and the guitarist disappears back into darkness. Just as the conference delegates begin to wonder what happened, a second musician lights up, this time in the center of the hall. He takes a screeching a capella sax solo for 30 seconds and the spotlight disappears, and is immediately followed by a bass player laying down a high-energy groove. 30 seconds later, the focus shifts to a drum kit brightly lit on stage at which time the drummer joins in with the bass.
The energy level builds until all four musicians are lit up and join the performance. All musicians approach the stage until they perform together as a complete unit where the music reaches a searing climax.
The process involved highly creative and strategic thinking, numerous calls and coordination of musicians and AV - all vital elements that contribute to a successful conference, and elements Enhance Entertainment staff take in their stride.
The result was by all reports, fantastic. The conference entertainment united stunning visual effects with choreography, complex musical arrangements that resulted in a tailor made high-impact performance for their conference.
