Pete Mitchell Duo Description

Pete Mitchell is a Melbourne based saxophonist who has been performing professionally with various ensembles in and around Melbourne for over 13 years.

Pete plays a wide variety of jazz standards and popular music including modern jazz, funky acid jazz, swing, bossa nova, latin, ballads, Christmas tunes, even rock and roll even if required!

Vocals can be added and the group expended as required. Instrumentation can include saxophone, guitar, piano, double or electric bass, drums, trumpet, vocals etc, performed by some of Melbourne’s best musicians.

Recent performances include the Launch of the Lexus Centre for Eddie McGuire, St.Kilda Football club Foundation dinner and Melbourne Grand Prix. Pete has studied with American Jazz legend Branford Marsalis and has performed with Australian icon Don Burrows among many others.
